# Funder type

Organizations that provide financial or other support for a study, falling into four categories:

* U.S. National Institutes of Health
* Other U.S. Federal agencies (like FDA, CDC, VA)
* Industry (such as pharmaceutical and device companies)
* Others (including universities, individuals, and community organizations)
